note to self: be yourself
Saturday, May 14, 2011

Have you ever sat back on a chair or lied in your bed just thinking “Who am I?”. Have you ever wondered what you want to take from this world and what you want to give to it? You should have!
Nowadays people are more interested in money, fame and gossip rather than in love, laughter and God.
The majority of people has forgotten what the main purpose of life is – love. Lately, every second person reaches out for things just to smash them to the ground and break them into million pieces.
People have forgotten to love. They have forgotten to care about each other, to help each other and to trust each other. Actually, they haven’t done any of those for so long that they have forgotten how to do them.
What is it to love someone, to care about this someone and to be ready do sacrifice yourself and your property for this someone, just because you trust he/she loves you too?
Hardly anyone knows the answer to this question.
People should set their priorities. They should not hate each other, because hate is a sin.
Where do we see hate? Here is an example: a young girl, about 16 years old, let’s say, gets in an argument with another girl of the same age. That is okay, right? Everyone gets in arguments. What is not okay is that after an argument both girls would turn and talk behind their backs the most awful things people could hear in their lives.
Why is that? Is television guilty? Or, maybe, computers? Sure, they are partly the “devils” who make us forget about what is valuable in our lives, but it all comes down to us in the end. People should set their priorities according to what is right and what is wrong. By setting their priorities, they oblige themselves to follow them for life and never “sleep with other people’s priorities”, if you understand what I am trying to say.
We live in a messed up world – nature is furious, money aren’t enough, homeless people are walking the streets of towns looking for a new box to sleep in, mothers leave their children and fathers often do not care. We should hold our hands in times like that. We should, but we do not.
I believe, though, that we can heal the world and make it a better place. Everyone can find something that is worth living for. I give them the first couple of things – love, friends and family. Now it’s your turn to find something you will love until your breath stops. Do not make quick decisions you are going to regret later. Do not discuss people, discuss ideas. Do not brag, do not hate. Be positive. Live, love, laugh and God will be by your side.
